Police looking for families of children rescued from child trafficking unions (photo)

Currently, The Nigeria Police Force is searching of the families of three children, two girls and a boy, stolen from their families since June 2019. The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, Frank Mba told newsmen on Monday, June 29, that the three children were among six rescued by the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in an operation that was launched following reported cases of child theft in the FCT. He said three of the rescued children have been reunited with their parents but the other three, pictured above, are yet to be reunited as their families cannot be located. “We were able to identify the parents of three of the six children and the police have reunited them with their families. Unfortunately until now we have not been able to locate the parents of these three children.” Mba said

Oyo state discharges 180 Covid-19 patients, June 29

The Oyo state government has announced that, 180 confirmed COVID-19 cases received their second NEGATIVE test results and have been discharged from the treatment facilities. This brings the number of discharged cases in Oyo State to 688. The state also recorded 66 new cases of COVID-19; The cases are from Ibadan North West (26), Ibadan N (9), Ibadan SW (6), Ido (6), Lagelu (4), Egbeda (3), Oyo E (3), Ibarapa N (3), Saki W (2), Ibadan SE (1), Ibadan NE (1), Akinyele (1) and Itesiwaju (1) LGAs. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State today is 1372. Sadly, the state also recorded one COVID-19 related death. So, the total number of deaths in Oyo State is twelve. Members are heartbreaked by the death of a pastor who hanged himself in a Gauteng church. Henk Calitz, 40, from Carletonville's Reformed Church, on the West Rand, was known as a sociable, caring community member. He had supported his society through the damage that the coronavirus pandemic has caused. The father of five took his life last Friday.
