During "Pink October," or breast cancer awareness month, she opened her Instagram and TikTok profiles to provide tips on how to prevent and cope with the condition. Diagnosed at the age of 31, she waited five years after going into remission before talking about her experiences online. In the aftermath of the Bali bombings in 2002, an Indonesian terrorist was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

   Wednesday, an Indonesian court sentenced an Al-Qaeda-linked Islamist fighter to 15 years in prison for his role in the 2002 Bali bombings, which killed more than 200 people. The blasts, which came just over a year after the 9/11 attacks on the United States, ripped through two bars packed with foreign tourists, and remain the deadliest militant assault in Indonesia's history. Zulkarnaen, a high-ranking member of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) militant group, was arrested in December 2020 after spending nearly 18 years at large. He was on trial for the Bali bombings, as well as several other attacks carried out by the special unit under his command. He "is guilty of committing terrorism and is sentenced to 15 years behind bars", said the presiding judge at East Jakarta District Court. Indonesian prosecutors had said Zulkarnaen set up the special JI cell and described him as a "key asset" for the group because of his experience as a trainer at militant camps in Afgh...

Gunmen storm the Enugu APC gathering, killing two chieftains and kidnapping another.

 The venue of the Enugu state chapter of the All Progressives Congress reconciliation conference was reportedly attacked by gunmen numbering around seven on Tuesday evening, January 18. During the raid on the party office in Ward III Obeagu Awkunanaw, Enugu South Local Government Area, two chieftains were purportedly killed. A chieftain was kidnapped, while another sustained gunshot wounds. 25-year-old housewife commits suicide in Kano

 Maryam Usman, a 25-year-old housewife from Kano's Sheka quarters, committed suicide last Thursday, according to the Kano state police command. The incident occurred after the deceased migrated from her matrimonial house to receive medical care at her parents' home, according to DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, a spokesman for the command. Preliminary investigations found that the deceased killed herself by slashing her finger and hurting her throat, according to Kiyawa. He said;    “On January 13, we received a very unpleasant report, that one Maryam Usman, a 25-year-old housewife had committed suicide. “She had returned to her family residence in search of medical solution to her ill health.    Oji, better known as Faze, has lost his mother Faith. The singer's mother passed away on January 12, 2022, just two weeks before her 76th birthday. This comes less than a year after the singer lost his twin sister. "My heart is heavy, " Faze confessed as he mourns his mother.

   York Attorney General Letitia James revealed new details Tuesday night about her civil investigation into former President Donald Trump's business, saying the investigation has uncovered evidence indicating fraudulent valuing of multiple assets and misrepresentation of those values to financial institutions for economic gain. In the court filing, James, who began her investigation in 2019, also stated that the former president "had ultimate authority over a wide swath of conduct by the Trump Organization involving misstatements to counterparties, including financial institutions and the Internal Revenue Service."
