On his Instagram page, he wrote; Dear Friends, I need to bring a very unfortunate incident to your attention as I am not proud of it but know that this is the right thing to do. On my recent trip to the USA (Late 2021), I got intimately involved with a lady knowing that this was not appropriate as a married man and a minister of the gospel. I am ashamed and regret my actions as it has caused a lot of pain to my dear wife, Ozioma, my family, and I. The court has set a date for the judgment in the case seeking the removal of Ebonyi Governor Umahi due to his defection from the PDP.

The Federal High Court has set March 8 as the deadline for the Peoples Democratic Party to file a lawsuit seeking the removal of Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi from office. Justice Inyang Ekwo fixed the dates after counsel in the suits marked FHC/ABJ/CS/ 920/21 and FHC/ABJ/CS/ 1041/21 had adopted their briefs of final arguments for and against the suit. In an originating summons marked FHC/ABJ/CS/920/2021, the PDP had principally urged the court to make a declaration that by defecting from the party on which they were sponsored and elected as governor and deputy governor of Ebonyi State to the APC, a political party that did not win the election, they had resigned or are deemed to have resigned from office. The plaintiff stated that “by so doing, the defendants are deemed to have lost the majority votes scored at the election and consequently should be ordered by the court to vacate their respective offices like governor and deputy governor of Ebonyi State". On Wednesday, the North West education department expressed their displeasure with the occurrence. The mob arrived at the Boons Mega Farm School gates in four vehicles around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, according to the department. They were looking for Tirelong Secondary School students who had been housed at the farm school after thieves stole the school's electrical cables, water taps, roof, books, window frames, doors, and cooking equipment. The Tirelong school still lacks running water and electricity, so students were relocated to ensure that they did not miss out on their education. They were sent to the Moedwil, Naauwpoort and Boons Mega Farm Schools. According to the department, when the perpetrators arrived at the gate the security guards refused to let them in as they could not provide their necessary identifications. This caused a scene and the would-be
