Victim of hotel attack at Glasgow released from hospital

One of the victims of the hotel attack in Glasgow has now been released from hospital.

Police Scotland confirmed that one person was released from hospital after being attacked at the Park Inn Hotel on Friday.


Badreddin Abadlla Adam, 28, from Sudan, was shot dead by officers after six people - including 42-year-old police constable David Whyte - were injured in the incident at the hotel on West George Street.



The other victims were men 17, 18, 20, 38 and 53 years old.

The hotel has two staff members, and three are asylum seekers.

Police Scotland said on Tuesday-after release of one of the injured-that four victims are in a stable hospital condition while one is in a critical but stable condition.

Adamawa : gunmen assassinate a local chief and a 16-year-old child.

  A village chief and a 16-year-old boy were killed in a recent wave of abductions in the state's Madagali Local Government Area, according to the Adamawa State Police Command. The teenager, known as Ijarshu Markus, was abducted along with his mother and brother from their home in Maiwandu village last week, according to reports. The mother and the other boy were rescued by local vigilantes, but Markus was taken by the shooters. The teen's body was discovered three days later in the bush, with two stab wounds to his chest and heart. In the aftermath of the Bali bombings in 2002, an Indonesian terrorist was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

   Wednesday, an Indonesian court sentenced an Al-Qaeda-linked Islamist fighter to 15 years in prison for his role in the 2002 Bali bombings, which killed more than 200 people. The blasts, which came just over a year after the 9/11 attacks on the United States, ripped through two bars packed with foreign tourists, and remain the deadliest militant assault in Indonesia's history. Zulkarnaen, a high-ranking member of the Jemaah Islamiyah (JI) militant group, was arrested in December 2020 after spending nearly 18 years at large. He was on trial for the Bali bombings, as well as several other attacks carried out by the special unit under his command.
